The Maple Grove Women of Today is part of the Minnesota Women of Today and United States Women of Today organizations. Our focus is community service, personal growth and fellowship.
SERVICE
Women of Today believe very strongly in service to others. Activities are conducted to support and educate the chapter members along with members of the community in a variety of areas. The Maple Grove Women of Today chapter is involved in a variety of projects. Here is a small list of some of them:.
Community Involvement - Spring & Fall Craft Shows, Maple Grove Days, Maple Grove Ambassadors Program, Holiday Events, Scholarship Program and more!
Foundations We Support - American Cancer Society, Girl Scouts, Minneapolis VA Home, Local Schools (Box Tops and Milk Cap donations), People with Developmental Challenges and March of Dimes
GROWTH
Developing one's self-confidence and learning how to work more effectively with others is a priority for the Women of Today organization. Opportunities for leadership training exist at all levels of the organization (local, state, and national) through committee work, chairing projects, and holding officer positions.
Our Personal Enrichment programs are designed to help “build a better you” through a variety of areas, including: Effective Speaking, Time Management, Financial Management, Effective Writing, Self Esteem, Goal Setting & Assertiveness, Leadership & Team Building, Women’s Self Defense, Focus on Women, and Health & Wellness.
FELLOWSHIP
Our members choose the projects they want to participate in, given their interest and time availability. Members can be as involved as they want to be. Most group events take place in the evenings or on weekends. We are also interested in bettering ourselves and having fun. We have speakers attend our meetings, challenge ourselves to improve our communication skills, gather to develop new talents and plan social events. The wide range of opportunities that Women of Today offers is one of the elements that make it unique. There is something for every woman and new ideas are always welcome.
